Your own AI assistant, running on your PC.
Vega answers questions, sets timers and reminders, plays your music, opens your apps, and keeps an eye on your websites. It runs on your own computer, with no account and no monthly bill. Call it Vega, JARVIS, or anything you like.
One window for the stuff you do all day
Press a hotkey from anywhere in Windows and Vega is there. Type a question or a command and it answers out loud.
A real AI to talk to
Ask anything, get help writing, brainstorm. Pick a faster or smarter brain depending on your PC.
A voice that sounds human
Natural voices in American and British accents, or none at all. It starts talking while it's still thinking.
Timers, reminders, briefing
"Remind me at 3 to call mom." A morning rundown of your weather, reminders, and sites.
Your music
Plays your own MP3 folder on shuffle, or controls Spotify if you connect it.
Runs your PC
Open sites and apps, change volume and brightness, take screenshots, lock or sleep the computer.
Watches your websites
Add your own sites and get an alert when one goes down. Speed, SSL, and Google Analytics if you want them.
A code editor
HTML, CSS, and JavaScript side by side with a live preview, in the style of VS Code.
Notes and files
Quick notes, clipboard history, and a file browser with previews.
Small business tools
An optional tab for jobs, quotes you can copy and send, and a calendar.
Nothing you say leaves your computer
Most AI assistants send everything you type to a server. Vega's AI runs on your own PC through Ollama, a free program it helps you install. Your conversations, notes, and settings stay on your machine.
- No account, no sign-up, no email.
- No subscription. The AI is free to run forever.
- Works offline once it's set up (weather and websites need internet, of course).
- Spotify, Google Analytics, and your websites are only connected if you add them yourself.
Set up in a few minutes
Vega walks you through everything the first time it opens.
Download and run
Run Vega-Assistant-Setup.exe. If Windows shows "Windows protected your PC", click More info, then Run anyway. That message appears for new apps that aren't from a big publisher.
Name it and pick a voice
Call it Vega, JARVIS, Friday, anything. Choose how it talks and what it calls you.
Get the AI
Vega links you to Ollama (free), then downloads the right AI model for your PC with one click. 1 to 5 GB, depending on the model.
Updates
Vega checks for new versions by itself and installs them when you restart it. Here's what's changed.
Questions
Is it really free?
Yes. Vega and the AI it runs on are free. There's nothing to subscribe to and nothing to unlock.
Do I need a powerful computer?
Any recent Windows laptop with 8 GB of memory works with the "Fastest" brain. With 16 GB or more, the "Balanced" and "Smartest" brains give better answers. Vega suggests one based on your PC.
Can I call it JARVIS?
Yes. The first time Vega opens you pick its name and what it calls you. You can change both any time in Settings.
Can I talk to it with my voice?
Not yet. You type, and Vega answers out loud. Voice input is on the list.
How do updates work?
Vega checks for updates every few hours, downloads them in the background, and shows a "Restart and update" button. Your settings and data are kept.
Is there a Mac version?
Not right now. Vega is Windows only.
How do I uninstall it?
Windows Settings → Apps → Installed apps → Vega Assistant → Uninstall. To remove the AI too, uninstall Ollama the same way.
